Digital service provider to expand after loan | Northwest Deals

A Lancashire-based SME technology service provider is planning major expansion, including the creation of 25 jobs, after receiving a £300,000 loan from Rosebud.

Digital Britain, formerly Customer Care Group, was established in 1998 and has traditionally supported its customers with IT and IT equipment and support. This includes telephone systems, computers and CCTV systems.

The Haslingden Company has innovated its operations over the past few years. It now offers a wide range of sales and marketing systems and expertise, including CRM, software design and integration, and digital marketing support.

The loan, which is one of Rosebud’s largest to date, will fund the recruitment of a dedicated sales and marketing team, enabling the company to develop a network of business partners. He will also support the growth of Digital Britain’s team of technical and digital marketing experts.

The company, which has already doubled in size over the past four years, hopes to accelerate its growth in the years to come, in particular by doubling its workforce.

Mark Bedward, chief executive of Digital Britain, said: “We’ve built traction and we have a great base, but not everyone knows us. We want to be the go-to place for any owner-managed SME in the UK for all things tech and digital and the loan from Rosebud will help us do that.”

The company is currently exploring a range of financial options to support its growth ambitions, including the launch of a Digital Britain franchise network. To finance its further growth, it is also considering equity financing.

Rosebud is owned by Lancashire County Developments Ltd (LCDL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Lancashire County Council. It aims to support the growth of Lancashire businesses and the local economy, providing loans between £10,000 and £300,000 as well as high quality business support.

County Councilor Aidy Riggott, a cabinet member for Lancashire County Council’s Economic Development and Growth, said: “This support from Rosebud will support new jobs in Lancashire and will also help Digital Britain grow in the UK. United.”

Jonathan Nelson, Senior Loans Director at Rosebud, added: “I am delighted that Rosebud is part of the next stage of Digital Britain’s business growth and I look forward to following the company’s journey.
